Hi friends from around the world!
So much has happened, yet so much has stayed the same. I’ve decided to learn to ride a bicycle again. I’ve learned the very basics when I was very young but I haven’t had access for practice due to many circumstances. I stopped by a local shop and left with a new bicycle along with a new friend. Unbeknownst to me, the shop offered one-on-one beginner session so it was very exciting.
My first riding experience was indeed exciting and there were also lessons to be learned. The trail chosen for me was too advanced for my level. I am comfortable riding on open road pavements whereas this trail was a combination of road, dirt, gravel, bumps, cracks, narrow fenced, and high traffic. I took it head on quite literally because I fell hard, not once but twice. I didn’t realize how deep my wound was at the time because I enjoyed myself. There’s something about pedaling, just as when we were little, seeing how far we can go with the wind in our faces and how carefree everything around us felt [in the moment].
Have you done anything out of your comfort zone recently?
Lots of love,
Ada
